Ingema is a non-profit organisation dedicated to generating knowledge in the field of the elderly and the disabled. Ingema originated from the MATIA Foundation.
INGEMA is part of the Basque Science and Technology Network as a Health Research Unit and is also a unit associated to the Ageing Research Group (GIE) of the CSIC, with the aim of making scientific collaborations in the field of ageing and dependence.


Generating interdisciplinary scientific knowledge to maximise personal autonomy, independence, health and quality of life of the elderly and the disabled and their carers.
