Description
The Netherlands Institute for Care and Welfare / NIZW is an independent organization dedicated to quality and innovation of the care and welfare sector. The Knowlegde Centre is a part of the Netherlands Institute for Care and Welfare / NIZW. The Knowledge Centre on Ageing intends to bridge the gap between research and practice.
Aims
NIZW informs, innovates and supports the sector and thus contributes to a caring society, in which citizens' personal responsibility and freedom of choice come first. NIZW's work is a combination of research, development and implementation which enables it to supervise and support innovations and improvements from the start to the end of projects. This results in advice, change process support, training courses, conferences, publications, websites, videos and an information helpline. The aim of the Knowledge Centre is to collect, adapt and transfer knowledge on elderly persons and ageing and to apply it to policy and practice. The Knowledge Centre works for policy makers and for professionals in long term care and welfare for older people.
