The institute was founded in 1988 in order to combine research within and outside the University of Wuppertal. Its president is currently Prof. Dr. Wolfram Boucsein, Physiological Psychology.
Aims
The institute sponsors interdisciplinary approaches to the process of aging. It also provides education for professionals in the field.
