Description
Part of a university institute (Institute of Psychology). Currently with five research scientists (including the chair position), two research associates, eight research assistants and a full-time secretary position.
Aims
The department's goal is to provide psychological ageing research to the gerontology research community with strong applied and interdisciplinary impetus.
Main research areas
-Dynamics of psychological adaptation in middle and old age (with a strong focus on sensory loss) -Psychology of physical and social context for ageing well (with a strong focus on research targeting the role of the home environment of older adults) -Applied psychology and gerontology of ageing - contributions toward improving old age (with a diversity of projects such as ones on outdoor mobility or quality of life in institutions)
