Type of institution
FAZIT is funded by the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, through the program Zukunftoffensive III. It is a non-profit project for current and future IT and media technologies and their use in Baden-Württemberg.
Processing the market-oriented subjects identified by FAZIT always includes carrying out a market potential analysis and a commercial relevance analysis. In these analyses, already existing studies are evaluated, technologies are described and possible potentials (research institutions, companies and demand) in Baden-Württemberg are identified. Specific research questions and hypotheses are subsequently analysed empirically in biannual company surveys .
Main research areas
Among others Ambient Assisted Living. The full results of the market potential analysis can be found in Volume 17 of the FAZIT publication series: "Ambient Assisted Living - Market Potentials of IT Based Care for Active Ageing" (FAZIT-Schriftenreihe, in German).
