Description
Rīga Stradiņš University (Reg. Nr. LV 90000013771) – short RSU – is a public university in the Republic of Latvia acting under supervision of the Latvian Ministry of Health. University is characterized by strong research background in various directions of biomedicine, clinical medicine, public health and social sciences. University’s position is especially also as an integrating hub for activities carried out at various institutions, benefiting from the University’s unique position in Latvia combining advanced research and access to clinical work at various health institutions governed by Ministry of Health. University integrates basic and applied research in almost every field of medicine.
University has long lasting record of international scientific cooperation activities. University is the Latvian participant in FP6 project STEPS and is taking part as a collaborator in various activities under Framework program. University is a regular participant in support events for Framework programs organized by ScanBalt Network, Steinbeis foundation a.o.
RSU is the major hub for translational research, incl. translational research on ageing, in Republic of Latvia.
Riga Stradins university is a ISO 9000 cetified research organisation.
