Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital is carrying out a large number of clinical trials and research projects in several major fields – cardiology, surgery, oncology, neurology & neurosurgery, endocrinology, nephrology, immunology, infection control, ophthalmology, regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy, new product and therapy development.

PKUS has main research areas:
• Clinical medicine
• Bioscience (Stem cells), incl. biological growth, development and ageing. PKUS is the only StC research facility in Latvia.
