The Laboratory of Functional Neuroscience aims at studying the functional anatomy of the human neocortex by exploring its oscillatory properties, anatomic and metabolic patterns in neurological disorders leading to cortical degeneration.


Our research aims at determining neuroimaging and electrophysiological markers differentiating normal aging processes from prodromic stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

Main research areas

Early detection of Alzheimer's disease by using biological, neuroimaging and neurophysiological markers. Cerebral mechanisms underlying normal and impaired memory processes.
