Description

The group of Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience develops its activity in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology in the laboratories placed in the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Santiago de Compostela. The group belongs to the Cognitive Neuroscience Network (Red de Neurociencia Cognitiva) financed by the Ministry of Research, Science and Innovation of Spain (Ministerio  de Investigación, Ciencia e Innovación).

Aims

The group is interested in the study of the neural basis of cognitive and affective processes in normal and high risk populations (coordinated by Fernando Cadaveira). Up to now it has developed research in healthy young and aged people (coordinated by Elena Amenedo), as well as in populations at risk for some disorders. It is also interested in the neurocognitive effects of alcohol consumption.
