The main missions of the CSO is the funding of medical research in Israel and regulating it. The Research Fund of CSO is a key source for funding of medical research in Israel. In addition to the handling, scientific review and funding of grant applications applied to the Chief Scientist Research Fund, we also review applications made to other organizations that support medical research and recommend on the outstanding ones.



  • Aims

    In pursuit of the support the medical and biomedical research in Israel and its advancement, the Research Fund of CSO-MOH awards grants for research projects, feasibility surveys and stipends for in-service training. The Research Fund encourages applications from young physicians and researchers. We also encourage research studies designed to be carried out in hospitals, especially peripheral hospitals. We will also give preference to multi-center and multidisciplinary studies.
