Description
The Oxford Institute of Ageing is the first international institute dedicated solely to understanding the implications of global ageing. Research at this multi-disciplinary institute addresses the implications of the globalization of ageing in both the more developed and developing worlds with a particular focus on the regions of Africa, Asia and Europe.
The Oxford Institute of Population Ageing is committed to the production of cutting edge leading research; the creation of dynamic partnerships with government, business, NGOs and the public ; the wide dissemination of policy relevant findings; and the training of tomorrow's researchers and professionals.
The Institute has strong relations with government departments, the voluntary and policy sectors and the corporate world. It maintains strong links with the medical school at Oxford. Dr Sarah Harper is Director of the Oxford Institute of Ageing at the University of Oxford.

Our aim is to undertake research into the implications of population change. We are a multi-disciplinary group with demography as our main disciplinary focus.
