Type of institution
The Centre for Research on Ageing is an international and multi-disciplinary research centre examining key issues in ageing and the lifecourse that will inform policy at the national and local level. In addition to research, the Centre contributes to capacity building of future academics and professionals by teaching postgraduate programmes in Gerontology. The Centre is not just concerned with issues concerning the lives of older people but also how we age across the life course, and what the role of policy is at the national and local level.
Through high quality research and postgraduate training, the Centre strives to contribute to a better understanding of the experience of ageing amongst different groups and societies.
