Summary of key aims

The objectives of the 'Older People's Use of Services' (OPUS) project are to gather evidence to:

Further the provision of a range of comprehensive and seamless services for older people;
Further the provision of the highest quality services;
Help ensure the supply of appropriate staffing and professional skills;
Take account of the ends and preferences of older people, and be responsive to the different needs of different groups of older people;
Improve services for conditions where treatment effectiveness/patient needs are not well established;
Aid evaluation of new service developments.
