Summary of key aims

The aim of the programme is to improve collaboration (arrangements) and efficiency between care for the elderly and mental health care. In the programme are four topics mentioned:

Efficiency and quality in care for the elderly in relation to mental health care
Efficiency of diagnosis on dementia
Efficiency and quality of therapy and guidance for patients with gerontological and psychiatric problems
Efficiency of the working of the general practitioner as a watchman
Implementation trail for projects on dementia
Effect-studies for treatment-methodologies for elderly with dementia living in nursing homes or homes for the elderly
Efficiency of diagnostics, therapy and guidance for allochtoneous elderly with mental gerontological and/or psychiatric problems in mental health care
