Summary of key aims

The Ludwig Boltzmann-Institute for Ageing research performs scientific work in the fields of geriatrics and gerontology. In an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach six research groups work on a variety of projects that are of relevance for the elderly.
Many projects of the Ludwig Boltzmann-Institute for Ageing Research are realized in collaboration with institutions of the Medical University of Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine and Viennese Hospitals (Donauspital im SMZ Ost, Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Brüder, Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Schwestern).
