Summary of key aims
This questionnaire summarises the main ageing research projects funded by the Ministry of Health and implemented by Italian regions, autonomous provinces and the Agency for the Health Regional Services-ASSR by yearly calls for targeted health research (ricerca finalizzata).
The list of projects has been made by the ISS selecting the titles from the electronic database of the Ministry of Health available from 1998 at www.ministerosalute.it.
Taking into consideration that aging research is a priority for the National Health Plan (PSN) and that Regions, Autonomous Provinces and the Agency for the Health Regional Services-ASSR implement researches by a mandatory role, adapting the ERA-AGE definition to the Italian contest, the pooled list of projects has been considered "a research programme"
