Programme for the ERA-AGE Conference launched

Chaired by Vappu Taipale this major European conference will feature a review of the ERA-AGE project since its inception in 2004, and contributions from all three joint calls conducted by the consortium.  Both rounds of the post-doctoral Fellowship programme FLARE will be represented through: two FLARE Alumi who will present the contribution that the FLARE programme has made to their careers; and posters from current FLARE Fellows.  In addition a Member State and a Canadian funder from Europe's first joint research programme on ageing "Active and Healthy Ageing Across the Life Course" will discuss the importance of a collaborative approach to research funding. The programme will also look to the future, with presentation from the closely-aligned Joint Programme Initiative "More Years, Better Lives - The Potential and Challenges of Demographic Change", and the impact of Horizon 2020 on ageing research.
